What is Mudlink
Mudlink is Wellcoms' field data acquisition and transfer solution, designed to operate directly at the rig site and deliver operational data to the data center in real time.
Optimized for field conditions, Mudlink is lightweight, fast and resilient, maintaining reliable data transmission even under limited or unstable bandwidth. It is engineered to handle the variability and edge cases commonly encountered in real-world WITSML™ environments.
Mudlink runs on any Microsoft Windows machine at the wellsite and supports secure rig-to-town data delivery using proprietary hashing, caching and transmission mechanisms. Data can be aggregated within Wellcoms' private data-hosting infrastructure or deployed in fully controlled environments, depending on operator requirements.
When no suitable host is available at the rig site, Mudlink can be delivered as a dedicated hardware appliance, ensuring immediate deployment with minimal operational impact.
For operators requiring full data sovereignty, Mudlink also supports deployment as a "Blackbox" solution, running on-premises or on bare-metal systems, allowing complete control over data storage, access and distribution.
